If you only knew how far your voice would be heard, and how much it would express by doing as little as sitting in front of the camera while Jill filmed you (and juxtaposed you with images of home movies). I saw your video thanks to Gay Carrington (well, the lovely person behind the puppet) and Gina. Never had I seen so much unity even in less involved people; there are loads of male friends of mine who don't have youtube accounts but went to Jill's blogspot and were in shock and later, fury at what had happened. Because even though one could say, "Eh, it's a video, big deal," SILENCE EQUALS DEATH.
And none of us can afford at this time and place such a luxury.
Needless to say, the video has been sent to as many people in mass emails---it needs to become a meme, duplicated until it's being recited.
I sent this video to my Mom the other night. She was in tears---for years, even until recently, she had wondered if perhaps this was genetic, or some freak of nature, me being gay. Of course she wants me to be happy and is highly critical of guys I meet (oh ironies!) but for years she'd put my success in a male-dominant field such as Law Enforcement in lieu of "why are you gay?" NOW she understands---mainly, that there is nothing to understand... just accept, and love above all.
And for this I want to thank you, even though I am a stranger to you. The Internet, while it can harbour places of extreme hate, can also produce these small miracles which become avalanches. I'm glad the ball has begun to roll with you and Jill.

A quarter million views after a month up and this beloved video was removed by YOUTUBE due to "INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT" last Saturday night when I returned home from Gay Pride. Hiltron put the word out to his many friends and fans. To our rescue a superwoman named Gina aka ITALIANSTALLIONETTE appeared. Her angry impassioned rant translated into a vlog that has her topping charts in every country. This morning joyful tears streamed down my cheeks as I watched the dozens of response videos to Gina eager to kick ass until our video was reinstated.

The video "MOM ON HER 2 GAY KIDS" has been reinstated. It seems that it was removed in error. We sometimes remove videos of children to protect you and your child from sexual predators. The contents seem to have been mistakenly evaluated. I have reviewed the video and it does not violate our Terms of Use. I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused.

I must share that I am absolutely brokenhearted!!! Once again the creepy radical right is doing all that they can to crucify and beat us down!
YOUTUBE censored my Mom's TOP HONORED film/video on having 2 gay children by deleting it due to "INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT?" It was up for over one month and after 250,000 hits, 1000 comments, favorited 540 times, this incredibly popular and powerful video was taken down.
Clearly it was flagged by right wingers, and YOUTUBE felt that some of the comments were overly vulgar - yes how very Christian of them. While Chris Crocker (LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE) guy talks incessantly about being gay and the comments to him are equally if not far more horrendous, his videos remain up. Here we put up a beautiful, impacting video beloved by homosexuals worldwide and ours gets taken down!
MOM ON HER TWO GAY KIDS was getting 10 thousand hits a day, and headed toward 1 million, but because we weren't presenting ourselves as gay "clowns" - the only way these obsessed people can feel comfortable with gays, this was a threat! So they banded together to get our video taken off the air because we were too legit, too heartfelt, too convincing.
I spent my entire childhood encountering anti-semitism and my adult life dealing with homophobia. It can become overwhelmingly depressing when you contemplate it. These anonymous COWARDS are so sad and pathetic, spending their primitive existence doing all that they can to sabotage the advancement of our civil rights. These hateful, soulless people live their depraved lives to destroy others.
Google, from what I've read, feels that if a video is stirring up hatred between sides of gender orientation, then they will take it down for the safety of everyone. The moral of this story is that I'm thrilled that I could produce something that garnered so much reverence and attention so quickly, that was a huge validation as a journalist and artist. I'm thrilled that a quarter of a million people saw it. I'm happy for Mom that she experienced her power in a public forum this lifetime before she passes. BUT because it was so popular it started to become this preoccupation to me, seeing as I had to approve comments. Comments, both elevating and stomach turning. The video had a beating heart, it was alive and initiating dialogue - which I loved and had no problem with, at first, even with the evil because there was a discussion happening. It became a forum for people to express themselves on the subject. That's why they removed it, because Mom was creating a legitimate bridge between the straight and gay communities - and the right can't have a straight showing compassion, explaining from experience that there is no difference, they're just people, eating, shitting, sleeping, working, loving...
MOM AS A YOUNG GAL IN CONEY ISLAND:
I am happy to report to these fuckers especially, that what they can never take away from me is my incredible love life, my financial independence, and the love and acceptance I receive from my adoring parents. I have it all. So take down my videos, you will never take me down, because I am flying far too high in the clouds to be touched by low end homophobes.
